Nationwide Concrete Flooring have been contracted to design and build a steel fibre reinforced jointless industrial concrete floor.
The floor slab was designed without the need for any induced saw cut joints whatsoever, in order to minimise the maintenance costs for the client in the future. 4D Steel fibres supplied by Bekaert were integrated into the concrete mix by the concrete flooring contractors operatives via the conveyor system. The concrete was then laid and compacted using the contractors Somero SXP-D laser screed machine. The steel fibre reinforced jointless powerfloated concrete floor slab incorporated a natural dry shake topping and surface hardener along with spray curing membrane and dust inhibiting compound.
