One of Nationwide Diamond Contracts brand new JCB heavy duty excavators complete with breaker on site preparing to break out and remove heavily reinforced concrete that has failed in a large external service yard.
The process involved full depth saw cutting the perimeter twice to leave an edge to break out to, then the second cut to be removed carefully with the smaller machine to leave a clean edge to drill and dowel if required.
Removal of the broken concrete is taken from site by Nationwide’s own transport for recycling and eventually will be reused as suitable infill material.
Nationwide then carry out the re grading of the area using its own laser guided sub base, thus ensuring the sub base is not only level but well compacted giving the best possible finish prior to pre-setting of reinforcement materials.
Pre-setting of the new slab prior to pouring is crucial in order that the engineers design can be seen and checked prior to installing the new concrete hardstanding.
Nationwide Concrete Flooring install the new concrete using approved methods with specified concrete strengths and slumps via a concrete pump ensuring good compaction and attention to vibration on every pour carried out as per the Concrete Societies methods of good practice.
This finished concrete slab is then cured and left to gain strength before traffic is allowed to access it.
Another failed Industrial concrete hardstanding removed, re graded, reinforced and installed by Nationwide Diamond Group.
