The concrete floor design system selected by the industrial concrete floor contractor and subsequently agreed with the clients brief was a Bekaert steel fire combi-slab system. The Bekaert steel fibre combi-slab system is designed to withstand extreme loads in conjunction with a guaranteed crack width, which in itself is an absolute incredible achievement with something regarded as so simple a an industrial concrete floor slab.

During the power floating process a light grey dry shake surface sprinkle topping and surface hardener manufactured by Sika (formerly Armorex) was applied and to the surface of the fresh concrete and monolithically bonded via the powerfloating operations. On completion of the concrete powerfloating, a floor sealer and dust inhibiting compounds was applied to the floor.
