Floor Joint Repair systems, by Nationwide Concrete Flooring, part of the Nationwide Diamond Group

Nationwide Concrete Flooring was called by a well known logistics company who specialise in the distribution of high end electrical goods and were having severe issues with their internal concrete floors in their warehouse. The company used Nationwide Concrete Flooring’s free concrete floor survey services to get a professional outlook on the situation.
Once completing the survey Nationwide Concrete Flooring discovered the floor to be extremely trafficked on a daily basis by various FLT’s in certain locations only. The heavy duty wheels the FLT’s use were having a detrimental effect on the internal concrete floor, especially at the areas of the joints. Overtime the joints had deteriorated so much that the FLT’s vibrated as they moved around the area and began to damage themselves and the products the company manufactured costing masses of expenditure in repairs and reproduction.

The concrete floor advisors at Nationwide Concrete Flooring recommended a construction joint repair using one of our reinforced Permaban joints. The concrete floor repair contractors offer a wide range of concrete floor joint repair solutions which hold various different traits all in which depends on the client’s needs and demands.  In this situation Nationwide Concrete Flooring offered 2 types of Permaban joint repair systems that the client could choose from. In this specific scenario we pitched The Alpha Joint 4010 which is very popular and used in most steel construction joint repairs, or the Permaban Signature AR which is a product very new from Permaban. Its main benefit is to minimise heavy duty impact on both the joint and the concrete floor by having an S shape instead of a straight edge like the diagram below.

In this case the company opted for The Alpha Joint 4010 due to the huge popularity. Once a proposed plan was agreed Nationwide Concrete Flooring’s experts installers began works onsite using top of the range specialist machinery. The original joints were neatly cut and professionally removed from locations and the new Permaban Alpha Joint 4010 was installed. With the works on site completed and a very happy customer Nationwide Concrete Flooring moved onto their next project.
