This concrete floor slab in Darlington was damaged beyond repair and with new tenants moving into the warehouse, the external concrete yard required removing and replacing. Nationwide Concrete Flooring utilise all of their own equipment when carrying out concrete floor reinstatement’s. The perimeter of the concrete yard is saw cut to minimise damage and then the large JCB diggers are used to break up the concrete yards. Once the concrete is broken up into suitably sized sections the concrete is recycled using the crushers and quite frequently used as the sub grade material for hardcore base.
High strength Readymixed concrete is then laid and finished with a “rough pan” finish created using powerfloats. This type of surface finish lasts longer than the more common “brush finish” and also provides excellent traction if the surface of the concrete becomes wet.
