Industrial concrete flooring contractors Nationwide Concrete Flooring from Goole in Yorkshire, have recently completed another cast instu concrete floor slab, this time for a new retail park in Darlington.
This new retail park in Darlington had let the units of varying size prior to the commencement of works on site. Each individual building occupier had their own specific requirements for the concrete floor slabs. The Nationwide Concrete Flooring team worked closely with the main contractor and consulting engineers Alan Wood & Partners to ensure the floor slab detailing was correct.
The concrete flooring contractor selected their Somero Copperhead 3.0 XD laser screed to carry out the construction of the concrete floor slabs in conjunction with a mobile concrete pump. The floor flatness tolerance of FM3 as per TR34 was easily achieved by the concrete contractors skilled workforce. Large Whiteman “ride on” power floats were used to achieve the highly polished power floated and power trowel led surface finish. On completion of the concrete power floating the floors were sealed with Sika Proseal, the high quality floor sealing and dust inhibiting compound. Within a 24 hour period of the slabs being cast, sawn induced joints were installed and also sealed immediately with Instant Seal 101 saw cut joint sealant.
On completion of this project the concrete flooring contractor commences another project in North East of England, this time for a new warehousing faculty at Houghton Le Springs Industrial Estate.
